Our Club
We were based in Keokuk Iowa and we moved our club up here last year. There is a lot of potential in the Quad Cities for a great club.
Our President of the Club Mike Shumate started Geode Fest 16 years ago. The officers in our club was also officers in the Geode Fest. He decided it was time to turn it over to the The Keokuk Area Convention & Tourism Bureau. Since all the Officers in Geode Fest lived in the QCA he thought it would be great to move his Club here.
What we do
We are a new active club in the Quad City Area and surrounding area. We meet once a month and will be having field trips, rock and gem shows, lapidary teaching and jewelry making, learning about all different kinds of rocks and much more. We are members of the Midwest Federation of Mineralogical and Geological Societies. Come join us. Very low membership fees.
Our youngest member. Children of all ages are welcome. Lets teach our kids to be Rock Hounds early!
3rd Annual Worthen Earth Searchers Rock and Gem Show
The Largest ever in the Quad Cities. Well over 30 Vendors from around the country inside 2 buildings and outside, The sluice is back so you can pan for treasures, Crack your own Geodes and pick from geodes from all around the world, The Kid Knapper will be here to show people how to make arrow heads, Raffles include an amazing Amethyst Cathedral, Silent auctions going on Saturday and Sunday all day, food and drinks on site and so much fun for the entire family.
